Most of the menu is in English, but there are a couple of pieces of Japanese so we will explain the menu structure and explain the Japanese dialogues afterwards. You can enter the boss inputs here and pick them. The game will take you to a character select where you can pick your training mode team. Select the second item in the list (first is for Savage Reign) and hit Circle again. To find training mode, press START at the title screen and move the cursor to the far right icon of a weightlifting figure and hit Circle. This section will detail how the training mode works in this release.

Although we can't link you to a file source, we can tell you that the game emulates smoothly in PCSX2 if you have a legal copy of the PS2 release on hand.

Despite a global release, the PS4 version is also Japanese localized. Kizuna Encounter was ported to PlayStation 2 in the Japan-only Fu'un Super Combo collection and later ported to PS4 for a global release. Once you're done setting everything up future usage will be as simple as starting Eddienput, then your emulator with the game, and choosing the script file you want to use. Be aware some keybinds may overlap with your emulator.

If you need to move your 2P character around just hit Insert to get into manual mode again and use your keyboard to control. If you make changes to your input file you can reload it by pressing F5. You should bind a "play" button by pressing F9, it works on keyboard or controllers (but only Xinput, so if you use a PS4-style controller use DS4Windows to force Xinput). Save your input script as a text file (.txt) anywhere and open it with Eddienput to load the script. Note that Eddienput will mirror your scripted inputs to play properly for 2P side by default, press F1 or F2 to toggle which side your inputs are playing on. Refer to Eddienput's README or GitHub page for an explanation of more advanced playback functionality like as mixups and loops. Hold down for 2 seconds, and then press 8A (Hayate's charge boomerang). Perform Hayate's DP, and wait 20 frames to input 6B for a follow-up. Use + to enter multiple inputs on the same frame. Use W to wait a specified number of frames, i.e.

Separate each frame of input with a space. Use numpad notation to write your input sequences. Make sure your first line is "configs\neogeo.json" if you're following along and using the neogeo.json file. Open a notepad and write a text file with some basic rules: Once you've mapped your controls press Insert on Eddienput's window again to close manual mode and you can begin writing input scripts. If you're using the neogeo.json file above, bind your Neo Geo 2P controls like this:Ī is Keyboard X B is Keyboard D C is Keyboard S D is Keyboard E Joystick directions corresponds to arrow keys Select/Start correspond to End and Home This will send Eddienput's virtual controller input to the emulator instead of your keyboard.
